Ian talks to Gary about having dark, suicidal thoughts as a result of his trauma and how he found a way through.
Ian Ackley is the head of the Survivor Support Advocate Service at the Professional Footballers’ Association. Ian was abused by his football coach, Barry Bennell, in the 1980s.
Gary Pleece is the marketing manager for 1in6.uk as well as a survivor, football activist, graphic novelist and mentor. He was abused in his early years by a female carer and his football coaches.
